About the role
- Serve as the primary HR partner for assigned markets, supporting Operations Directors and Medical Leaders.
- Manage routine to complex employee relations matters, including workplace conflict, performance concerns, policy violations, disciplinary issues, and employee complaints.
- Coach leaders on performance management, documentation, corrective action, and consistent application of company policies and practices.
- Support leaders in making sound employment decisions, including performance actions, promotions, transfers, and separations.
- Apply and interpret company policies in alignment with business needs and employment practices.
- Partner with the Senior HR Director on escalated or high-risk employee matters and broader field HR priorities.
- Support leaves and accommodations requiring leader guidance or issue escalation, in partnership with the HR Generalist and Unum.
- Monitor workforce trends and HR metrics within assigned markets and recommend actions to improve employee experience, retention, and operational stability.
- Support talent reviews, succession planning discussions, and development planning for field leaders.
- Assist with organizational changes, practice transitions, acquisitions, closures, restructures, and other change initiatives.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition, Payroll, Benefits, HR Operations, Compliance, Legal, and field leadership to support consistent HR execution.
- Provide day-to-day guidance to the HR Generalist as needed to support follow-through, documentation, and case coordination.
- Conduct regular practice visits and maintain strong field relationships to support business and team needs.
- Support additional projects and initiatives as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
- At least five years of progressive human resources experience required, including employee relations and leader support experience.
- Experience supporting a large, multi-site workforce required.
- Strong background in employee relations, performance management, policy interpretation, and leader coaching.
- Experience handling routine to complex employee matters with sound judgment and discretion.
- Strong partnership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to assess issues, identify risk, and provide practical, business-aligned recommendations.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office applications preferred; Workday experience is a plus.
- HR certification such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP preferred.
