About the role

  • Serve as the senior clinical leader and medical voice for a defined region.
  • Provide oversight of hospitals and veterinarians while advancing AmeriVet’s strategic vision.
  • Champion exceptional patient care, elevate the client experience, and ensure consistency in clinical standards.
  • Support operational efficiency, foster high-performing cultures, and achieve regional financial goals.
  • Translate enterprise strategy into regional medical execution plans and establish clinical priorities.
  • Promote consistency in workflows and implement corrective action plans for underperforming locations.
  • Lead, coach, and develop Medical Directors and associate veterinarians.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or its equivalent degree required.
  • Active licensure without restrictions in at least one state of practice (multi-state preferred).
  • Active DEA Registration as necessary for responsible practice location(s).
  • Any required state controlled substance, pharmacy or other licenses and/or registrations as required.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience as a practicing Veterinarian.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience leading a veterinary team, including multi-unit management experience (10+ sites).
