About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee and manage the end-to-end licensing process for all Mortgage Loan Originators (MLOs) within the NMLS.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of all NMLS filings related to MLO licensing, including new applications, renewals, and amendments.
- Monitor and track MLO pre-licensing education, testing requirements, and background checks to ensure compliance.
- Manage the MLO license renewal process, ensuring all requirements are met before deadlines to avoid lapses.
- Track and ensure MLO compliance with continuing education requirements in all applicable states.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for MLOs regarding their licensing inquiries and provide clear and timely communication.
- Proactively identify and resolve any licensing issues or discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all MLO licenses, sponsorships and related documentation.
- Perform other duties as assigned, based on competencies and experience.
