About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Oversee and manage the end-to-end licensing process for all Mortgage Loan Originators (MLOs) within the NMLS.
Ensure timely and accurate completion of all NMLS filings related to MLO licensing, including new applications, renewals, and amendments.
Monitor and track MLO pre-licensing education, testing requirements, and background checks to ensure compliance.
Manage the MLO license renewal process, ensuring all requirements are met before deadlines to avoid lapses.
Track and ensure MLO compliance with continuing education requirements in all applicable states.
Serve as the primary point of contact for MLOs regarding their licensing inquiries and provide clear and timely communication.
Proactively identify and resolve any licensing issues or discrepancies.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all MLO licenses, sponsorships and related documentation.
Perform other duties as assigned, based on competencies and experience.
