About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Administer and manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, wellness programs, and other benefits.
- Assist employees with benefits-related inquiries and provide guidance on plan options and enrollment processes.
- Act as a point of escalation to assist employees with dependent eligibility verifications and processing qualified life event changes.
- Collaborate with benefits providers and vendors to resolve issues and ensure optimal service delivery.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to employee benefits.
- Perform quality checks of benefits-related data and run ad-hoc benefit reports.
- Assist in retirement and benefit plan compliance activities including annual retirement plan audits, IRS audits, non-discrimination testing, Form 5500 filings, and related communications.
- Assist in the development and implementation of new benefit programs and initiatives.
- Complete monthly invoice billing reconciliation and payment processes.
- Help to identify and implement wellness programs to promote employee well-being and reduce healthcare costs.
- Participate in various HR related special projects and other duties as assigned.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in benefits administration or a similar role.
- Working knowledge of State and Federal laws impacting benefit-related regulatory requirements, including ACA, ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, DOL, IRS and other applicable regulations.
- HR Generalist or Compensation experience is a plus.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
- Uncompromising ethics and confidentiality required.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize assignments under high pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work effectively independently and in a team environment.
- High-speed internet required for remote work, Cable or Fiber ONLY with the ability to connect via Ethernet. Minimum speeds: 70/30 Mbps (basic), 200-300/35-70 Mbps (shared), 500-1,000/100+ Mbps (heavy use).
