About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support dedicated financial advisors and their teams in providing outstanding client service
- Assist advisors with basic financial plans, investment research, trades, money movement, and new account openings
- Schedule and confirm client meetings, create agendas and summaries, and provide follow-up
- Prepare and submit new business paperwork, obtain signatures, send documentation to the home office, track insurance and annuity applications, and coordinate rollovers
- Prepare and coordinate marketing events and create marketing compliance documentation
- Perform administrative duties, including answering advisors’ phones, processing expense reports, preparing client correspondence, setting up client files, and managing new-business correspondence and alerts
- Help advisors increase their Facebook and LinkedIn presence with relevant and timely content
- Help clients enroll in and use various Ameriprise tools
- Work with colleagues in person at least three days per week while having flexibility to work from home two days per week
Requirements
What you’ll need- Willingness to obtain licensing certifications as needed, including Series 7 and possibly State Securities, State IAR, and State Insurance certifications
- Willingness to work evening hours from 8:00 pm to 4:30 am (9:30 am to 6:00 pm CST)
- Graduate in finance discipline
- 0–1 year of experience or 1-year diploma is preferred
- Good communication skills
- Basic understanding of Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word
- Exposure to financial products such as mutual funds, insurance, and retirement services is an advantage
- Strong attention to detail and high accuracy
- Ability to meet strict timelines according to agreed SLAs for advisor practices
- Experience interacting with advisors or U.S. business partners is preferred
