About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage the advisor recruiting pipeline using team resources, best practices and activity
  • Maintain accurate and timely candidate records in the recruiting contact management system
  • Report accurately on recruiting results
  • Communicate advisor recruiting status and results to internal and external audiences
  • Answer advisor questions and resolve issues
  • Communicate Ameriprise’s value proposition and brokerage knowledge to prospective advisors
  • Evaluate advisor practices for asset portability and compliance with company hiring standards
  • Create a consistent, high-volume flow of qualified candidates through referrals, networking with local wholesalers, and firm marketing/advertising
  • Build centers of influence with existing franchise advisors and field staff to develop local recruiting sources
  • Build and maintain partnerships among corporate partners, field leaders and advisors to achieve recruiting goals
  • Set expectations with advisors and field leaders regarding the recruiting process
  • Perform extensive phone work
  • Maintain knowledge of broker-dealer products, processes and capabilities
  • Maintain current industry competitive intelligence, benchmarking and analysis

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (4-years)
  • 7-10 years of relevant experience
  • Post-secondary education and relevant work experience may be interchanged to meet the combined total years of minimum required qualifications for education and experience
  • Proven understanding of products, process and capabilities for broker dealer
  • Experience in recruiting efforts within the financial services industry, specifically for advisor recruiting
  • Proven success in driving results and managing multiple priorities effectively
  • Ability to work independently and act as an effective and trusted business partner with field leadership and internal partners
  • Outstanding relationship management, negotiation, collaboration and influencing skills
  • Ability to assess readiness and coach and develop others
  • Strong analytical skills, detail orientation, tracking and follow-up
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Support and drive diversity hiring efforts
  • Candidate MUST live in territory
  • Series 7 preferred
  • Valid work authorization that does not now, or in the future, require visa sponsorship for employment in the United States
