About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Deliver end-to-end technical delivery of web applications, including technical design, development, quality, and performance
- Coordinate and review the work of other engineers
- Integrate and provide overall product support across the technology stack
- Define and drive the strategic roadmap for cloud engineering platforms and services
- Design scalable, resilient, secure, and highly available cloud architectures
- Establish enterprise standards, patterns, and best practices for cloud adoption and engineering
- Evaluate emerging technologies and lead architecture reviews
- Lead development and enhancement of self-service engineering platforms
- Drive Infrastructure as Code, Policy as Code, and platform automation initiatives
- Improve developer experience through automation, standardization, and reusable engineering patterns
- Drive CI/CD modernization and DevSecOps adoption
- Establish secure-by-design practices, automated quality gates, vulnerability management, and compliance controls
- Define monitoring, logging, observability, and alerting strategies
- Drive SRE and operational excellence practices and establish service health metrics, KPIs, SLIs, and SLOs
- Lead root cause analysis and resolution of critical platform incidents
- Ensure cloud platforms meet security, regulatory, audit, and compliance requirements
- Establish governance frameworks and partner with Risk, Security, and Audit teams on controls and remediation
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field
- 12+ years of technology experience
- At least 5+ years in Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering, or DevSecOps leadership roles
- Deep expertise in Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, or similar public cloud platforms
- Strong experience designing enterprise-scale cloud solutions and shared engineering platforms
- Hands-on Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, Bicep, or equivalent
- Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices
- Expertise in cloud security, identity management, governance, and compliance frameworks
- Experience with observability, monitoring, logging, and operational excellence practices
- Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills
- Proven ability to lead large-scale transformation and modernization initiatives
- Preferred: cloud certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Solutions Architect, or Google Professional Cloud Architect
- Preferred: experience with GitHub Enterprise, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Harness, or similar platforms
- Preferred: experience with Kubernetes, container platforms, and modern application architectures
- Preferred: knowledge of FinOps, cloud cost optimization, and cloud governance frameworks
- Preferred: experience leading platform engineering or internal developer platform initiatives
- Preferred: exposure to enterprise-scale security, risk, and regulatory environments
