About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Execute and maintain the Technology operating model in alignment with enterprise ORM minimum standards and regulatory expectations
- Deploy, manage, and govern the Technology Risk Management Program, including Governance and Oversight, RCSA, Risk Events, Risk of Change, and Operational Soundness activities
- Promote risk identification, assessment, mitigation, and monitoring across Technology processes
- Partner with Technology, Risk, Compliance, and Audit teams to communicate and manage risks
- Support regulatory examinations and supervisory engagement, including Federal Reserve quarterly meetings, OCC IT examinations, and FINRA and SEC readiness assessments
- Coordinate and support responses to Internal Audit reviews and industry audits, including SOC 2 and ISAE assessments
- Track and report Technology risk issues, remediation plans, and control effectiveness through governance and reporting forums
- Improve risk processes, tooling, and operating practices within the Technology organization
- Build relationships with Technology teams by explaining risk and control expectations and supporting high-quality outcomes
- Improve documentation, tool usage, and reporting efficiency
- Own and deliver assigned risk activities as an individual contributor
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience in public accounting, consulting, or internal audit
- Broad information technology experience
- Relevant experience in technology risk, operational risk, IT controls, or related fields
- Strong understanding of controls within a technology environment, including design and operational effectiveness
- Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, dynamic, and evolving environments
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and balance competing demands
- Experience building collaborative relationships across diverse stakeholder groups
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Analytical, critical thinking, and decision-making capabilities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including communicating risk concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
- Financial services experience strongly preferred, particularly in Asset Management, Brokerage, Insurance, or Annuities
- Experience with ServiceNow IRM/GRC or similar risk management platforms
- In-depth knowledge of SOC 2 and SOX
- Knowledge of COBIT, ITIL, NIST, FFIEC, FCA, or equivalent regulatory guidance
- Valid work authorization that does not now or in the future require visa sponsorship for employment in the United States
