About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Serve as a conduit to the organization's data, working closely with stakeholders to provide data solutions
Perform complex analysis to determine an overall data solution based on business needs
Participate in data profiling, analysis, design documentation and communication with business partners
Perform testing and issue resolution
Responsible for system administration, business production support, design and build of new templates and functionalities on systems supported within the team
Solve organizational information problems and needs through identification and analysis of requirements, creation of project and process specifications
Assist BA in preparation of BRD and URD, create Design Doc and Data spec, Report development and perform Smoke testing on the developed reports
Perform and/or support system administration tasks including maintenance, monitoring, installation, and configuration of software
Assist with gathering requirements across business partners and develop test execution plans
Support small to medium scale projects
Create and test applications, as well as trouble-shoot and resolve routine and medium to less-complex problems
Negotiate technical and non-technical solutions that satisfy the business users
Document metadata, including business and technical details, for each attribute being created or updated

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelors degree in Computer Science or similar field; or equivalent work experience
7-10 years of relevant experience required
4+ years of demonstrated development experience on Vermilion Reporting Suite (VRS)
6+ years of demonstrated experience in business and functional requirements elicitation, translation and documentation
Strong analytic skills including ability to identify patterns, potential issues and then translate those into functional and test requirements
Solid understanding of business functional areas and business management issues as well as the IT organizations systems and capabilities.
Knowledge of effective modeling methodologies and tool-sets, requirements management methodologies, requirements visualization methods, and artifact version tools
In depth knowledge of business operations and processes
Experience with analysis planning, requirements elicitation, Report Development on VRS, test planning, creating test cases and test data, executing test scripts, implementation planning, and implementation execution
