About the role
- Work with a dedicated advisor/a team of financial advisors and staff to provide outstanding service to clients
- Assist Ameriprise financial advisors in servicing clients including preparing basic financial plans, conducting investment research and completing trades and transactions (money movement, new account opening, etc.)
- Prepare and summarize client meetings by scheduling and confirming meetings, creating the agenda and summary of meetings and providing necessary follow-up
- Prepare and ensure new business paperwork successfully submitted including preparing forms, obtaining appropriate signatures, preparing documentation to send to home office, tracking new insurance/annuity applications and coordinating rollovers
- Prepare for and coordinate marketing events including creating marketing compliance documentation
- Provide general administrative duties such as answering the advisors phone, processing expense management reports, preparing routine client correspondence, setting up client files, copying and managing new business correspondence and alerts
- Assist advisors in increasing their social media presence (Facebook & LinkedIn)
- Help clients in enrolling/servicing on various Ameriprise tools
- Manage and organize office workflow with emphasis on creating and delivering a unique client experience and follow high standards of business and professional ethics and legal and regulatory requirements
Requirements
- Willingness to go for licensing certifications as needed (SERIES 7 and possibly also for State Securities, State IAR, State Insurance)
- Willing to work evening hours: 8:00 pm to 4:30 am (9:30am to 6pm CST)
- Graduate in finance discipline (0- 1year experience or 1year diploma is preferred)
- Good communication skills
- Basic understanding of MS power point, MS Excel and MS Word
- Exposure to financial products like mutual funds, insurance, retirement services, etc. would be an added advantage
- Must have an eye to detail with high accuracy levels
- Ability to meet strict timelines per the agreed SLAs for advisor practices
- Experience of interacting with advisors or U.S business partners will be preferred
