About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Articulate and maintain a robust and consistent investment process in managing the portfolios
Assist with a wide variety of monthly and quarterly reports/projects to internal and external contacts including clients, consultants, and vendors
Work with Portfolio Manager in implementing the portfolio strategy and process
Collaborate with the centralized research team and the global resources within Columbia Threadneedle to generate investment ideas and maintain a list of analyst-preferred investment securities
Support Stable Value Team with day-to-day liquidity needs of client accounts
Anticipate future cash needs and plan any asset liquidation accordingly
Responsibility for portfolio monitoring (includes news flow, research, conference calls, modeling, etc.) and compliance (sizing of positions, allocation to maintain proper diversification, making sure portfolios maintain proper risk parameters, etc.), with the opportunity to increase accountability for investment performance and client communications

Requirements

What you’ll need

Ability to work and contribute effectively both as a team player and individually
Proven skills in using or quickly learning to use new tools such as Microsoft Excel, Bloomberg, Aladdin or other analytical systems
Ability to synthesize information in a timely manner and reach a firm conclusion
Ability to interact and communicate effectively with external broker dealers in striving for best execution and pricing for our clients
Achievement or progress towards a CFA is relevant though not required
