About the role
- Lead and evolve the scheduling operations function across global teams
- Architect and optimize job scheduling frameworks using Tidal, Tivoli, or Control-M
- Drive incident and problem management processes focusing on root cause resolution
- Partner with engineering and business stakeholders to align scheduling strategies with business goals
- Develop and maintain service catalogs, automation standards, and operational playbooks
- Lead and mentor a global team, fostering continuous improvement and SLA adherence
- Identify cost-effective automation opportunities and lead implementation initiatives
- Represent the scheduling function in leadership forums and strategic planning sessions
- Oversee team performance, promote knowledge sharing and first-time fix culture across support tiers
- Escalate and manage high-impact customer issues with professionalism and urgency
- Collaborate with Automation SME Lead and senior leadership on team development
Requirements
- 13+ years of experience, including leadership in managing enterprise-scale workload automation
- Professional degree in IT or equivalent experience
- Advanced scripting capabilities (PowerShell, Python, UNIX shell)
- Deep expertise in job scheduling tools (Tidal, Tivoli, Control-M) and distributed systems
- Proven leadership in matrixed, multi-vendor environments
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and escalation handling skills
- Experience with cloud-native scheduling and hybrid environments (AWS/Azure) preferred
- Experience in incident and problem management with focus on root cause resolution
- Experience developing and maintaining service catalogs, automation standards, and operational playbooks
- Experience leading and mentoring global teams and ensuring SLA adherence
- Ability to identify and lead cost-effective automation initiatives
- Willingness/ability to work India shift timings (4:45p-1:15a)
