About the role
- Responsible for accurately recording and tracking revenue and expenses of the business.
- Monitor and reconcile commission receivables by policy, producer, and carrier.
- Determine commission amounts due to producers and pay based on established schedule.
- Use carrier commission statements, carrier & internal production reports and internal contract documents as inputs.
- Prepare analyses such as relationship profitability, agent penetration, and carrier profitability.
- Maintain carrier compensation grids.
- Support calculation and payment of agent commissions in coordination with Finance and Payroll.
- Balance various external and internal accounts.
- Create and coordinate financial and production reports for performance tracking and reporting.
- Review and provide input into financial analyses on company performance with supervisor and team.
Requirements
- Minimum High School Diploma.
- One (1) to two (2) years of experience in a related role.
- Thorough attention to detail.
- Verbal and written communication skills.
- Take direction proactively and is a team player.
- Knowledge of basic finance and accounting principles.
- Experience with Excel and CRM systems.
