About the role
- Develop and implement EPMO strategy in alignment with the organization’s overall strategic objectives
- Ensure the implementation and adoption of EPMO governance, processes, and procedures
- Lead and mentor team of project managers and business analysts
- Foster culture of accountability and high performance
- Own and drive successful creation, management and completion of enterprise’s portfolio of projects
- Lead teams of IT, business unit associates, and vendor resources
- Apply scope, budget, schedule, resource, and risk management processes
- Work with project managers, stakeholders and vendor partners to create project plans
- Provide timely and effective portfolio communication
- Apply forecasting techniques for project health performance reporting
- Assess current state of Quality Assurance capabilities
- Develop and manage departmental budget, ensuring operational costs are kept within budget
Requirements
- BS/BA in Business Administration, project management or related field; Master’s degree preferred
- 7 - 10 years proven track record of development, execution and first-hand delivery of successful technology programs and projects
- Proven experience with program and project portfolio management and delivery
- Prior experience managing product development and/or operations within the financial services, insurance or retirement planning sectors
- Strong knowledge of Quality Assurance (QA) testing methodologies, tools, processes and associated frameworks
- Project management (PMP) certification preferred
- Prior management experience with Fintech services and products is a plus
- Scaled Agilist Certification is a plus (Lean Portfolio Management or Scrum Master)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, continuously changing environment
- Strong strategic thinking skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Expert level Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Projects, and PowerPoint skills
- Proven experience with automated testing practices and applications
- Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills
- Ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner
- Strong leadership skills that inspire and motivate others.
