About the role

  • Develop and implement EPMO strategy in alignment with the organization’s overall strategic objectives
  • Ensure the implementation and adoption of EPMO governance, processes, and procedures
  • Lead and mentor team of project managers and business analysts
  • Foster culture of accountability and high performance
  • Own and drive successful creation, management and completion of enterprise’s portfolio of projects
  • Lead teams of IT, business unit associates, and vendor resources
  • Apply scope, budget, schedule, resource, and risk management processes
  • Work with project managers, stakeholders and vendor partners to create project plans
  • Provide timely and effective portfolio communication
  • Apply forecasting techniques for project health performance reporting
  • Assess current state of Quality Assurance capabilities
  • Develop and manage departmental budget, ensuring operational costs are kept within budget

Requirements

  • BS/BA in Business Administration, project management or related field; Master’s degree preferred
  • 7 - 10 years proven track record of development, execution and first-hand delivery of successful technology programs and projects
  • Proven experience with program and project portfolio management and delivery
  • Prior experience managing product development and/or operations within the financial services, insurance or retirement planning sectors
  • Strong knowledge of Quality Assurance (QA) testing methodologies, tools, processes and associated frameworks
  • Project management (PMP) certification preferred
  • Prior management experience with Fintech services and products is a plus
  • Scaled Agilist Certification is a plus (Lean Portfolio Management or Scrum Master)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, continuously changing environment
  • Strong strategic thinking skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Expert level Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Projects, and PowerPoint skills
  • Proven experience with automated testing practices and applications
  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills
  • Ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner
  • Strong leadership skills that inspire and motivate others.
