About the role
- Monitor network health (LAN, WAN, Wi‑Fi, VPN, SD‑WAN)
- Analyze alerts from monitoring tools (Zabbix, PRTG, SolarWinds, Datadog, etc.)
- Identify and address performance degradations, latency and packet loss
- Check availability of links, network devices and services
- Participate in analysis and resolution of medium-complexity incidents
- Diagnose connectivity issues (L2, L3 and L4)
- Analyze routes, VLANs, NAT, ACLs, DNS and DHCP
- Configure and maintain VPNs (site-to-site, client VPN)
- Work closely with security teams (SecOps)
- Ensure network segmentation (VLANs, security zones)
- Assist with configuration of ExpressRoute / Direct Connect
- Configure hybrid DNS
Requirements
- Knowledge of the OSI model and TCP/IP
- Familiarity with IPv4/IPv6 addressing, CIDR and subnetting
- Experience configuring and troubleshooting networks (VLANs, STP, EtherChannel, LACP, ACLs)
- Proficiency in protocols such as ARP, ICMP, TCP, UDP and NAT
- Experience with firewalls, VPNs and switches
- Basic knowledge of QoS, static and dynamic routing, and traffic troubleshooting
- Experience in the retail sector is a plus
- Knowledge of cloud environments (Azure, GCP, OCI) is a plus
- Knowledge of SD‑WAN is a plus
- Familiarity with Azure ExpressRoute and cloud Security Groups is a plus
