About the role
- Lead complex categories of spend across multiple business units or geographies, including high-value, high-risk, or strategically critical areas.
- Provide expertise to global leaders to ensure broad alignment on cost management, including sourcing and demand optimization opportunities.
- Develop category strategies that contemplate the supplier landscape, demand profile, optimal pricing structures, service levels, scope definition, and other items that contribute to achieving the best possible services/products, supplier performances, and cost profiles.
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies that deliver enterprise-wide value, innovation, and risk mitigation.
- Negotiate favorable terms with product and services suppliers by managing supplier relationships and ensuring service level agreements are met.
- Drive savings and efficiencies in the sourcing process, identify opportunities for mitigating risks, and ensure compliance.
- Partner with the Legal, Finance, and other departments to align sourcing with business needs and manage end-to-end supply chain processes.
- Implement process improvements and use data to optimize both supplier performance and supply chain strategies.
- Provide thought leadership in supplier strategy, operations, innovation, and efficiency improvements in the applicable category.
- Conduct business reviews with strategic suppliers, measure performance, and establish plans for continuous improvements.
- Prepare analytics, metrics, and dashboards to demonstrate business problems, solutions, and benefits for the supplier management team.
- Ensure that agreement terms and conditions are thoroughly reviewed and documented and that risks are mitigated.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required with a concentration in Engineering, Business, or Supply Management preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of sourcing and contract negotiation experience required, preferably in a supply chain position.
- Experience managing supplier relationships for individual requirements and within a fixed contract required.
- Intermediate skill level with MS Office Suite and advanced skill level with MS Excel and MS PowerPoint required.
- Experience with procurement platforms (e.g., Oracle, Salesforce).
- Experience negotiating and creating value in situations with limited traditional leverage.
- Professional certifications strongly preferred (Certified Property Manager, Certified Professional in Supply Management, or Certified in Planning and Inventory Management).
- Approximately 5% travel may be required to support the position’s responsibilities.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively.
- Ability to work with different functional groups and levels of employees to effectively and professionally achieve results.
- Strong organizational skills; ability to accomplish multiple tasks within the agreed upon timeframes through effective prioritization of duties and functions in a fast-paced environment.
