Ensure the effective implementation of company EHS programs within the assigned regional distribution centers and transportation delivery operations
Partner with regional leadership to proactively anticipate, identify, and mitigate risks within the supply chain to improve overall EHS performance
Leverage lean and six sigma principles to lead kaizen process improvement events
Support new facility or retrofit design reviews to ensure use of prevention through design and incorporation of EHS standards in all engineering and real estate projects in the region
Identify opportunities to integrate safety into operational processes, standard operating procedures, and training
Conduct facility audits/inspections to ensure alignment with ATD EHS Programs and applicable regulatory requirements
Assist distribution centers with incident investigations and identifying effective corrective measures
Analyze data to determine trends and appropriate actions to improve regional EHS performance
Lead ongoing regional improvement initiatives to achieve yearly and long term EHS goals
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety or related discipline
Minimum of 7 years industry experience in environment, health and safety leadership
Distribution Center/Warehousing and DOT Transportation focus preferred
Industry credentialing such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)
Functional knowledge of Federal regulations and consensus standards including OSHA, EPA, DOT, and NFPA
Proficient with digital safety management systems, Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook email
