About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide cybersecurity subject matter expertise on emerging technical systems and processes within the Department of War
- Lead a team of cybersecurity engineers and drive collaboration with DTE&A assessment teams and Department of War programs
- Provide test and evaluation expertise for MDAPs, prototypes, and emerging commercial activities
- Review acquisition plans, prototype plans, test plans, systems engineering plans, and related documentation
- Compile data and identify changes affecting testing equipment, procedures, manufacturing processes, and testing requirements
- Collaborate with DTE&A, R&E, and Department of War engineers to facilitate cybersecurity practices and effective acquisition
- Support DTE&A assessments for Milestone Decision Authorities, Services, and PEOs
- Review and assess TEMPs, developmental test plans, SEPs, LCSPs, ADMs, acquisition baselines and strategies, and other milestone decision documents
- Evaluate test results, schedules, resources, and technological risks for program milestone reviews
- Provide WIPT test and evaluation and systems engineering support
- Support Independent Technical Risk Assessments
- Develop papers, reports, and briefings for senior OSD decision makers
- Assess and provide recommendations on developmental test and evaluation policy
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree
- 15+ years of related work experience
- Master's degree in an engineering or cyber-related area desired
- Experience with Department of War, Department of Homeland Security, or related areas
- Top Secret/SCI clearance required
- SAP experience desired
