About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute test activities for aircraft systems, subsystems, and integrated capabilities.
  • Develop test strategies, test plans, test procedures, test cases, and test reports for developmental, integration, qualification, verification, validation, and operational testing.
  • Support test events involving aircraft avionics, mission systems, communications, sensors, software, hardware, interfaces, and related subsystems.
  • Coordinate with systems engineers, software developers, hardware engineers, flight operations, maintenance personnel, and program leadership to prepare for and execute tests.
  • Define test objectives, success criteria, data requirements, resource needs, and test configurations.
  • Support test readiness reviews, safety reviews, technical interchange meetings, and post-test debriefs.
  • Conduct or support bench, lab, hardware-in-the-loop, ground, taxi, and flight test activities, as applicable.
  • Collect, analyze, and document test data, discrepancies, observations, and performance results.
  • Identify defects, anomalies, integration issues, and performance shortfalls and support corrective action efforts.
  • Ensure traceability between requirements, test procedures, test results, and verification evidence.
  • Support test environment setup, configuration control, instrumentation coordination, and data collection planning.
  • Prepare formal test documentation and status updates for program management, engineering leadership, customers, and certification authorities, as applicable.
  • Support regression testing, retesting, and validation of resolved deficiencies.
  • Ensure test activities are conducted in accordance with applicable safety, quality, airworthiness, and regulatory standards.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • BS/BA and 5-7 years of test engineering and/or systems engineering experience (Related MPRA experience can be substituted for a degree)
  • Secret Clearance
  • Test and Integration experience on complex flight simulators
