About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Work independently or as part of a crew performing various tasks such as pulling, terminating and testing copper and fiber cable, installing cable tray and various other types of cable support hardware.
Demonstrates the proper procedures for installing, terminating, testing, troubleshooting and documenting cable plan system to team members.
Generates equipment list and bills of material for completing tasks.
Interfaces with customer as required on day-to-day basis and informs project manager of possible problems or changes to scope of work.
Uses hand tools, including various punch tools, test equipment, and various power tools such as hammer drills and saws.
Has working knowledge of networks such as ETHERNET, TOKEN-RING and FDDI.

Requirements

What you’ll need

5 years structured cabling experience
BICSI Certifications are a plus but not required
High School plus advanced training
Security Clearance is a plus but not required
US Citizenship is required for access to buildings and installations
Proficient in the use of hand tools, including various punch tools and test equipment
Capable of reading blueprints and cut-sheets as well as generating test reports and as-builts
Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, work overhead reach for extended periods of time, work on hands and knees
Ability to communicate well in English both verbally and written.
