About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Focus on the administration, maintenance, and support of Windows 10 & 11, and Windows Server 2016/2019 within a SCADA/ Energy Management System real-time power operations system
- Plan, coordinate, and execute the installation, testing, operation, and maintenance of Windows-based hardware and software systems within a SCADA/EMS environment
- Ensure compliance with configuration management processes and industry standards
- Manage the lifecycle of Windows-based systems hardware and peripheral equipment, including ordering, inventory control, installation, deployment, maintenance, and decommissioning
- Perform standard Windows system administration duties, including Active Directory management, Group Policy administration, user account management, and resource sharing
- Administer Windows environments, ensuring stability and efficiency
- Provide technical support to end-users and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve Windows-related challenges
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system logs, patching, security configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- 3-5 years of experience required in Systems Administration or similar role
- Expertise in Windows 10, Windows 11, Windows Server 2016/2019/2022, and Active Directory administration
- Familiarity with VMware ESXi, Dell-EMC VxRail, Dell-EMC Data Domain, and HPE ProLiant Gen 10 - Gen 12 servers
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve Windows-based technical issues quickly
- Excellent communication and documentation skills for creating clear and comprehensive technical documentation
- Strong attention to detail when managing critical Windows systems to ensure reliability and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. and perform physical tasks relating to equipment setup
