About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Focus on the administration, maintenance, and support of Windows 10 & 11, and Windows Server 2016/2019 within a SCADA/ Energy Management System real-time power operations system
Plan, coordinate, and execute the installation, testing, operation, and maintenance of Windows-based hardware and software systems within a SCADA/EMS environment
Ensure compliance with configuration management processes and industry standards
Manage the lifecycle of Windows-based systems hardware and peripheral equipment, including ordering, inventory control, installation, deployment, maintenance, and decommissioning
Perform standard Windows system administration duties, including Active Directory management, Group Policy administration, user account management, and resource sharing
Administer Windows environments, ensuring stability and efficiency
Provide technical support to end-users and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve Windows-related challenges
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system logs, patching, security configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides

Requirements

What you’ll need

Must be a U.S. Citizen
3-5 years of experience required in Systems Administration or similar role
Expertise in Windows 10, Windows 11, Windows Server 2016/2019/2022, and Active Directory administration
Familiarity with VMware ESXi, Dell-EMC VxRail, Dell-EMC Data Domain, and HPE ProLiant Gen 10 - Gen 12 servers
Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve Windows-based technical issues quickly
Excellent communication and documentation skills for creating clear and comprehensive technical documentation
Strong attention to detail when managing critical Windows systems to ensure reliability and accuracy
Ability to work independently and collaboratively, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills
Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. and perform physical tasks relating to equipment setup
