About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Regular script writing and debugging of computer system activities (PowerShell or Python)
- 50% of time spent on scripting tasks
- Create scripts to automate repetitive tasks
- Work closely with Stakeholders and vendors
- Demonstrate vendor product to Stakeholders to generate feedback
- Provide Tier II technical support for assigned products to end users
- Conduct root cause analysis and investigate technical issues reported by customers
- Experience working with Active Directory Domain Controller
- Provide support using your understanding of Windows, some Linux, some VMWare / Hyper-V and/or Remote Desktop
- Prepare technical designs and documentation
Requirements
What you’ll need- Active Top-Secret Clearance required
- High School Diploma (HS) and 8+ years, Associates Degree (AS) and 6+ years, Bachelors’ Degree (BS) and 3+ years or Masters’ Degree (MS) and 2+ years of relevant experience
- 4 – 6 years relevant experience to job description
- 3 years relevant PowerShell or Python scripting
- Bash scripting experience is desired
- Strong oral and written communications skills
- Ability to organize work so assignments are completed in a timely manner
- Perform analysis and quickly resolve issues
- Multi-task and/or take direction from lead team members
- Occasional work at different locations within the Washington Metro Area and some domestic travel required
