About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide direct, hands-on support for the daily administration and execution of the Special Access Program (SAP) security program
Working under the guidance of the lead CSSO
Create a secure environment by coordinating with the Cognizant Authority (CA) Special Access Program Central Office (SAPCO), Program Security Manager (PSM), and others to protect SAP information
Take responsibility for security management, including the Security, Education, Training, and Awareness (SETA) program
Implement and execute all SAP security requirements as defined in this issuance
Develop, coordinate, maintain and execute Security Standard Operating Procedures for the SAPF/SCIF
Process Program Access Requests (PARs) and maintain personnel security files
Coordinate all SAP security matters
Ensure all records are updated in the SAP personnel vetting system
Assist with the day-to-day management of all SAP materials
Conduct inventories, manage document control and accountability logs
Support the physical integrity of the SAPF by managing access control systems

Requirements

What you’ll need

A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in DoW and/or IC security
at least 3 to 5 years of direct, hands-on experience working within a Special Access Program environment
A high school diploma
Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience
Completion of foundational CDSE/STEPP security training is required; SAP-related training is highly desirable
Must possess an active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligible and willing to consent to a CI Polygraph
A strong working knowledge of SAP security policies and procedures is required
Proficiency with the Defense Information System for Security (DISS)
Joint Access Database Environment (JADE) and other security management software is also necessary
Proficient in various types of information technology applications, such as Microsoft Office (MS Word, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint), SharePoint and Adobe
Excellent organizational skills and a high degree of attention to detail are required.
