About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Perform Software Systems Engineering for the acquisition, development and sustainment of various programs supporting aircraft and weapons systems.
Perform system resource evaluation; software requirements evaluation; design evaluation; software definition, code and unit test; integration test; software delivery and independent test; software quality assurance; and software configuration monitoring.
Conduct reviews of Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) products.
Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs, etc.) evaluating supporting work products to Government standards.
Participate in all software life-cycle reviews from requirements analysis, preliminary design, detailed design, integration, and test.
Review and comment on proposed system requirements, based on Government provided information.
Verify the system requirements meet the stated program objectives.
Support program reviews and periodic program status meetings.
Support the Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) process.
Support Statement of Work and CDRL development.
Support technical evaluations of Contractor proposals.
Make recommendations regarding human systems engineering.
Experience with DOD-STD-2167A/MIL-STD-498/IEEE 12207 is preferred.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Current DoD Secret clearance
Ability to obtain Top Secret
Must be a U.S. Citizen
MH-60R/S experience
BS or BA degree in a Technical Discipline
At least five (5) years of experience in Software/Systems Engineering supporting DoD aircraft systems
Experience with Systems Software, Systems-of-Systems engineering, model-based systems engineering, or systems safety & reliability
Experience in military aircraft avionic systems and software
