About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform Software Systems Engineering for the acquisition, development and sustainment of various programs supporting aircraft and weapons systems.
  • Perform system resource evaluation; software requirements evaluation; design evaluation; software definition, code and unit test; integration test; software delivery and independent test; software quality assurance; and software configuration monitoring.
  • Conduct reviews of Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) products.
  • Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs, etc.) evaluating supporting work products to Government standards.
  • Participate in all software life-cycle reviews from requirements analysis, preliminary design, detailed design, integration, and test.
  • Review and comment on proposed system requirements, based on Government provided information.
  • Verify the system requirements meet the stated program objectives.
  • Support program reviews and periodic program status meetings.
  • Support the Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) process.
  • Support Statement of Work and CDRL development.
  • Support technical evaluations of Contractor proposals.
  • Make recommendations regarding human systems engineering.
  • Experience with DOD-STD-2167A/MIL-STD-498/IEEE 12207 is preferred.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Current DoD Secret clearance
  • Ability to obtain Top Secret
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • MH-60R/S experience
  • BS or BA degree in a Technical Discipline
  • At least five (5) years of experience in Software/Systems Engineering supporting DoD aircraft systems
  • Experience with Systems Software, Systems-of-Systems engineering, model-based systems engineering, or systems safety & reliability
  • Experience in military aircraft avionic systems and software
