About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- supports CD&I by conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis to inform capability development, experimentation, and requirements decisions.
- collect, clean, and interpret data from multiple sources
- generate analytic products
- provide insights to support USMC force development and integration initiatives.
- Acquire, clean, and validate data from operational, experimentation, modeling & simulation, and other enterprise sources.
- Perform descriptive, diagnostic, and basic predictive analytics to identify trends, relationships, and performance drivers.
- Develop dashboards, reports, and visualization products to communicate analytic findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate with operational subject matter experts, data engineers, and data scientists to define requirements and ensure data integrity and analytic relevance.
- Support the development of metrics, measures of effectiveness (MOE), and measures of performance (MOP) for capability development and experimentation efforts.
- Document methodologies, assumptions, and limitations to ensure analytic transparency and reproducibility.
- Support briefings and working groups by providing data-driven insights and responding to ad hoc analytic requests.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Operations Research, Economics, or related field.
- 3–7 years of experience performing data analysis or business intelligence, preferably in a DoD/USMC environment.
- Proficiency with common data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Excel with advanced functions, SQL, Tableau/Power BI, or equivalent).
- Ability to work with structured and semi-structured data and conduct basic statistical analysis.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate analytic results into operationally relevant insights.
- Active TS/SCI Clearance
