About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the design, development, and sustainment of data pipelines, data integration, and basic data infrastructure
  • Assist in building and maintaining pipelines to move and transform data from source systems into analytic data stores
  • Implement basic data quality checks, validation routines, and data cleansing processes
  • Support the integration of structured and semi-structured data sources relevant to capability development
  • Work with senior data engineers and analysts to understand data requirements and translate them into technical tasks
  • Contribute to the documentation of data flows, schemas, and data dictionaries
  • Implement basic data security and access controls in accordance with DoD/USMC policies
  • Troubleshoot data pipeline issues and support operations and maintenance activities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Science, or related field
  • 0–3 years of experience in data engineering, database development, or related technical role
  • Basic experience with SQL and at least one programming/scripting language (e.g., Python)
  • Familiarity with relational databases and concepts such as tables, views, indices, and joins
  • Ability to work in a team environment and follow established engineering standards and practices
  • Active TS/SCI Clearance
