About the role
- Answer general questions from callers using knowledge base and USPTO website
- Assist with MyUSPTO account issues and other website systems support calls
- Mail applicable standard printed materials to callers
- Transfer customers to appropriate secondary call centers
- Review and respond to incoming emails regarding patents and trademarks
- Use Customer Contact Management System for tracking inquiries
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or have official legal status in the U.S.
- Must have continually resided in the United States for the last two years
- Ability to pass federal background investigation and obtain a Public Trust
- At least one (1) year of customer service experience
- Experience with phone/email contact center, data entry, problem logging
- Must be fluent in English
