About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Answer general questions from callers using knowledge base and USPTO website
  • Assist with MyUSPTO account issues and other website systems support calls
  • Mail applicable standard printed materials to callers
  • Transfer customers to appropriate secondary call centers
  • Review and respond to incoming emails regarding patents and trademarks
  • Use Customer Contact Management System for tracking inquiries

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or have official legal status in the U.S.
  • Must have continually resided in the United States for the last two years
  • Ability to pass federal background investigation and obtain a Public Trust
  • At least one (1) year of customer service experience
  • Experience with phone/email contact center, data entry, problem logging
  • Must be fluent in English
