About the role
- Serve as a PMA-271 Mid-Level IPTL working alongside the PMA-271 Level 2 Mission Systems Lead and Software Lead.
- Manage the PMA-271 Software Support Activity (SSA) at Patuxent River, MD and oversee Fleet Support Representative (FSR) team at Tinker AFB and contract execution.
- Collect and manage E-6B (future E-130J) Fleet reported Software Trouble Reports (STRs).
- Facilitate annual Software Organization Advisory Group (SOAG) to review/rank Fleet STRs and group them into Capability Deficiency Packages (CDPs).
- Coordinate with Level 2 Mission Architecture IPTL and Software Lead to determine software releases for STRs/CDPs.
- Contract approved and funded STR/CDP corrections with vendors, SSA, and external entities; manage overlapping corrections.
- Manage technical solutions with PMA-271 Class Desks and Engineering, and work with PMA-271 Test Director and VX-20 for verification.
- Manage and maintain the Software Test Bench and support Mission Data Loads (MDL)/Unique Data Files (UDF) and cyber resiliency.
- Manage Operation and Maintenance Navy (O&MN) and PRE data calls and ensure software files available for Fleet installation.
- Support the System Integration Lab (SIL) for STR/CDP analysis, integration, test, and maintain RDT&E network and development environment.
- Oversee coordination with prime integrator (Collins) for costing, integration, testing, and monthly funding reports.
- Manage and renew PMA-271 Software Fleet Release Contract and Delivery/Task Orders and provide annual DEER and SSA inputs for FY spend plans and budget execution.
Requirements
- Active and current Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret.
- Interim Top Secret clearance required to start.
- DAWIA Career Level and Code: Level II in Program Management (A).
- 5+ years of strong Program Management skills, understanding of Navy POM cycles, budgets, schedules, and statements of work development & execution.
- Technical or business degree desired.
- Position located in Patuxent River, MD at Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD).
