About the role

  • Perform on-site support of submarine Ship Control Systems (SCS)
  • Execute the duties of In-Service Engineering Agent (ISEA) for Seawolf and Ohio Class submarines SCS
  • Maintain knowledge and experience in overseeing development, integration, test,
  • evaluation and certification of existing and new submarine Fly by Wire (FBW) SCS designs
  • Provide support to tech assist teams in troubleshooting and repair of SCS
  • Maintain qualifications as Alteration Installation Teams (AIT) supporting SCS upgrades/alterations
  • Coordinate with Shipbuilders, Lead Design Yards, and Supervisor of Shipbuilding (SUPSHIP) engineers/technicians
  • Ensure fleet problem reports against SCS are acted upon and solutions proposed in a timely manner

Requirements

  • Active Secret security clearance
  • High School diploma and specialized US Navy Ship Control Systems training
  • 10+ years of related US Navy submarines work, active duty experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Submarine Development and Construction
  • Knowledge of function operation of submarine Ship Control Systems and forward electronics
  • Knowledge of principles and techniques of Test and Evaluation Program Management
  • Ability to monitor and coordinate work efforts of a large group of Navy and contractor engineers/technicians
  • Ability to use complex interactive Computer Based systems
