About the role
- Perform on-site support of submarine Ship Control Systems (SCS)
- Execute the duties of In-Service Engineering Agent (ISEA) for Seawolf and Ohio Class submarines SCS
- Maintain knowledge and experience in overseeing development, integration, test,
- evaluation and certification of existing and new submarine Fly by Wire (FBW) SCS designs
- Provide support to tech assist teams in troubleshooting and repair of SCS
- Maintain qualifications as Alteration Installation Teams (AIT) supporting SCS upgrades/alterations
- Coordinate with Shipbuilders, Lead Design Yards, and Supervisor of Shipbuilding (SUPSHIP) engineers/technicians
- Ensure fleet problem reports against SCS are acted upon and solutions proposed in a timely manner
Requirements
- Active Secret security clearance
- High School diploma and specialized US Navy Ship Control Systems training
- 10+ years of related US Navy submarines work, active duty experience preferred
- Knowledge of Submarine Development and Construction
- Knowledge of function operation of submarine Ship Control Systems and forward electronics
- Knowledge of principles and techniques of Test and Evaluation Program Management
- Ability to monitor and coordinate work efforts of a large group of Navy and contractor engineers/technicians
- Ability to use complex interactive Computer Based systems
