About the role
- Conduct analysis of emerging DoD air system programs using modern digital engineering tools and reviewing historical performance of related programs, technologies, and activities.
- Evaluate the acquisition and technology risks of air-systems programs and supporting development; secure cutting-edge technology and engineering capabilities to facilitate modernization efforts across DoD.
- Analyze and evaluate acquisitions programs to support timely delivery of key warfighting capabilities to DoD.
- Integrate analysis of digital engineering artifacts into the assessment
- Work with a team of driven, supportive and highly skilled professionals; work closely with senior government decision makers and managers and stay in sync with DoD priorities.
- Manage your efforts within a mixed virtual-, in-person work center.
- Provide Developmental Test and Evaluation (DT&E) and Systems Engineering support to the government on advanced air systems.
- Provide testing and evaluation (T&E) expertise related to air systems.
- Provide DTE&A Assessments and risk evaluations to OUSD(R&E), Milestone Decision Authorities, Services, and PEOs.
- Review and assess Test and Evaluation Master Plans (TEMPs), developmental test plans, System Engineering Plans (SEPs), Lifecycle Sustainment Plan (LCSPs), Acquisition Decision Memoranda (ADMs), Acquisition Baselines and Strategies, and other milestone decision documents.
- Evaluate test results, schedules, resources, and technological risks for program reviews.
- Evaluate digital engineering artifacts produced by programs, test centers, and services in support of informing DTE&A assessments.
- Provide working-level integrated product teams (WIPTs) Test and Evaluation and systems engineering support.
- Support Independent Technical Risk Assessments (ITRA).
- Develop papers, reports, and briefings targeted to senior OSD decision makers.
- Assess and provide recommendations on DT&E policy.
Requirements
- 12 Years or more of experience
- U.S. Citizenship Required for the purposes of obtaining/holding a U.S. security clearance
- BS in technical field required, MS desired
- Top Secret Clearance (SCI eligibility)
- 10 years of experience overseeing engineering activities (e.g. requirements, design, integration, and test)
- 8 years of experience supporting DoD Air Warfare MDAPs, developmental test and evaluation, and systems engineering and analysis.
- Experience with emerging MBSE, digital engineering-focused programs and tools such as CAMEO, AFSIM.
- Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to develop papers, reports, and briefings targeted to senior decision makers.
- Experience to include supporting policy and process engineering activities.
- Experience supporting OSD and/or Service Branch HQ organizations.
- Well versed in DoD 5000 instruction and DoDAF.
