About the role

  • Processes Program Access Requests (PARs), facilitates indoctrinations and debriefings, and maintains personnel security files (PSFs)
  • Manages visit certifications and foreign travel reporting for SAP-accessed personnel
  • Assists with the day-to-day management of SAP materials
  • Conducts inventories, manages document control and accountability logs, and prepares materials for secure transport and destruction
  • Supports the physical integrity of the SAPF by managing access control systems, conducting daily security checks, monitoring alarm systems, and escorting non-accessed personnel
  • Assists the lead in preparing for security inspections by auditing files, updating documentation, and verifying compliance
  • Maintains security databases, visitor logs, and training records
  • Assists in providing security briefings, refresher training, and general security support to program personnel
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Senior SAP Security Specialist

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in DoD security
  • 1-2 years of direct, hands-on experience working within a Special Access Program environment
  • Must possess an active Top Secret security clearance with a current background investigation
  • Strong working knowledge of SAP security policies and procedures
  • Proficiency with DISS and other security management software
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Completion of foundational CDSE/STEPP security training is required; SAP-related training is highly desirable
