About the role

  • Directs all contractor SAP security operations
  • Develops, implements, and maintains SAP security policies and procedures (SOPs)
  • Serves as the primary subject matter expert (SME) on all SAP security issues
  • Advises government and corporate leadership on security risks, mitigation strategies, and compliance requirements
  • Manages the lifecycle of multiple Special Access Program Facilities (SAPFs)
  • Prepares and maintains Fixed Facility Checklists (FFCs), co-utilization agreements (CUAs), and accreditation documentation
  • Oversees the entire SAP personnel security process
  • Implements and manages systems for accountability, control, transmission, and destruction of SAP information and material
  • Acts as the primary interface with government oversight bodies
  • Leads all internal self-inspections of the SAP program
  • Provides direct leadership, professional development, and technical guidance to assigned security personnel

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in DoD security
  • At least 7-10 years dedicated to managing Special Access Programs
  • Prior experience as a GSSO or PSM is highly desirable
  • Must possess an active Top Secret security clearance with a current background investigation
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
  • Completion of advanced SAP security training (e.g., SAPPC, SPSC) is required
  • Mastery of the DoDM 5205.07 series, ICDs (704, 705), and other relevant SAP security policies
  • Proven experience in SAPF accreditation and management
