About the role

  • Provide full life-cycle support for network services
  • Installation, tuning, testing, monitoring, operation, maintenance, upgrading, patching of network systems
  • Provide technical support to customers
  • Ensure network connectivity throughout the LAN/WAN and MAN
  • Deploy Cisco network equipment
  • Plan network layouts
  • Create manuals and support documentation
  • Analyze communication networks
  • Conduct Site Survey
  • Research hardware and software options
  • Analyze network topologies and traffic requirements
  • Perform network administration duties
  • Maintain knowledge of relevant technology
  • Participate in special projects & O&M

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret
  • 7-10 years of Network Engineering experience
  • BS/BA or equivalent experience
  • WAN experience
  • Large-Scale Network experience (MPLS and BGP)
  • Routing/Switching Experience
  • Deep understanding of network management
  • Fundamental knowledge of security protocols
  • Working knowledge of IP routing protocols (OSPF and BGP)
  • Experience deploying QoS in LAN/WLAN environments
  • Experience providing Tier 3 and Tier 4 support
  • Experience providing senior-level engineering support
  • Leadership experience
  • Excellent analytical, communication, documentation skills
  • Must have very good Visio documentation skills
  • Experience in an Agile environment
  • High customer service skills
