About the role
- Design, analyze, and develop electrical and electronic systems for submarines, including navigation, communications, photonics and tactical control systems
- Lead and support laboratory and shipboard testing of electrical systems to verify performance against specifications, identify defects, and recommend improvements
- Develop and analyze shipboard power systems, conduct load analysis, phase balancing, and ensure fault tolerance and redundancy
- Prepare technical reports, schematics, and documentation in accordance with military, industry, and company standards (MIL-SPECs, IEEE, EMI/EMC, etc.)
- Support design, development, and testing of advanced submarine electronic systems focuses on ship’s power distribution, phase balancing, and integrated electronic subsystems
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
- 1+ years of professional experience in design, development and testing of electrical and electronic equipment
- U.S. Citizenship Required for the purposes of obtaining/holding a U.S. security clearance
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Clearance
- Physically capable to conduct ship checks on United States Nuclear Submarines: Be comfortable in relatively confined spaces
- Able to climb vertical ladders (20’ – 25’) within the submarine
