About the role

  • Lay out, build, test, troubleshoot, repair, engineer and modify video surveillance concealment systems and equipment.
  • Provide support with systems such as computer equipment, test equipment, and electronic control systems.
  • Discuss layout and assembly procedures and problems with Electronics Engineers (EEs) and provides documentation to clarify design details and functional criteria of electronic units.
  • Assemble complete prototype models according to engineering instructions, technical manuals, and knowledge of electronic systems and components.
  • Recommend changes in circuitry or installation specifications to simplify assembly and maintenance.
  • Setup standard test apparatus or devises test equipment and circuitry to conduct functional, operational, environmental, and life cycle tests to evaluate performance and reliability of prototype or production models.
  • Analyzes and interprets test data.
  • Adjust, calibrate, align, and modify circuitry and components, and records effects on unit performance.
  • Write technical reports and develops charts, graphs, and schematics to describe and illustrate systems' operating characteristics, malfunctions, deviations from design specifications, and functional limitations for consideration by engineers in broader determinations affecting system design and laboratory procedures.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma (HS) and 13+ years, associate's degree (AS) and 10+ years, bachelor's Degree (BS) and 6+ years or master's Degree (MS) and 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Active Top-Secret Clearance with the willingness to take an agency CI polygraph when requested.
  • Experience in building and maintaining physical concealments with electronic components.
  • Able to design, assemble (electronic / mechanical) and test electronic firmware and hardware.
  • Experience in digital microwave, cellular, and internet protocol data egress technologies and techniques.
  • Experience in soldering and electronic testing with appropriate equipment.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate one-on-one or in large groups.
  • Must be able to travel some and perform system installations on poles, towers, and or buildings.
  • Requires the ability to lift and carry a 30 pounds load.
