About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and implement annual and long-term sponsor partnership blood drive programs in assigned geography to achieve collection goals.
  • Identify, develop and implement creative strategies to attract, sell, manage and retain Blood Program Leaders/Sponsor partnerships and maximize value from sponsor partnerships.
  • Provide organizational and operational support to sponsor contacts and maintain a high level of communication with assigned Blood Program Leaders/Sponsors.
  • Support the blood drive annual calendar build by identifying and applying appropriate methods to ensure productive scheduling of blood drives by assigned Sponsors.
  • Keep abreast of assigned geography, including its government, demographics, organizations, and competitive profile, and apply that knowledge to servicing Sponsor groups and penetrating designated markets.
  • Maintain accurate system records and provide tracking and statistical data on Sponsor group performance.
  • Ensure organizational tools, technology, and strategy used to enhance customer service, efficiency, and productivity are fit for purpose and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Work with blood drive coordinators and donor groups to achieve blood collection targets for area blood drives.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, sales, communications or related field required.
  • Minimum 3 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.
  • Knowledge of group dynamics, direct sales, customer maintenance techniques, negotiation skills, and the ability to effectively implement programs is preferred.
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively are required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including training and presentation skills is required.
  • A current valid driver's license and good driving record is required.
  • May be required to travel to sites throughout the Red Cross organization.
  • Sales Experience Preferred
  • Previous Donor Recruitment Service experience
