About the role

  • Assist with every step of the blood collection process
  • Collaborate with your team to transport and setup equipment at collection sites
  • Create a welcoming and comfortable environment for volunteer donors
  • Follow all safety procedures while collecting blood donations
  • Drive Red Cross vehicles and setup/tear down equipment at donation sites

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required
  • Customer service experience and effective verbal communication skills are required
  • A current, valid driver's license with a good driving record and reliable transportation is required
  • Physical requirements may include the ability to lift, push or pull heavy weights
  • Good manual dexterity, the ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
  • Adapt to long, irregular hours and frequent schedule changes are required
  • Position may require a minimum height of 60 inches to ensure the ability to safely operate Red Cross vehicles
  • Basic computer skills are required
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft office applications
