About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee complex activities pertaining to contract development, selection and award, contract administration, and customer contact activities.
- Manage relationships with third party suppliers, vendors, consultants, and contractors.
- Provide support, development and/or leadership guidance to all volunteers.
- Develop, conduct, and evaluate RFP’s (requests for proposal) as requested by RES Construction Project Managers.
- Draft, manage and complete construction and related contracts.
- Red-line and negotiate terms within established guidelines to mitigate contractual risk.
- Serve as the key contact person to coordinate matters between the legal department, construction and risk management teams.
- Track deadlines, contract deliverables and receivables.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- Minimum 5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.
- Construction experience preferred.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines with expeditious multi-tasking.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to efficiently proofread/edit documents.
- Strong knowledge of construction industry practices and procedures.
- Strong knowledge of bidding processes, contract terminology, liens, and invoicing.
- Proven ability to provide exceptional client service.
- Ability and willingness to learn, cross-train and work as a team player.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
