About the role
- Oversee and administer HR Compliance and Policy programs to ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations related to U.S. HR and employment law issues.
- Identify and align strategic compliance related requirements to drive focused HR initiatives, based on a solid understanding of the business.
- Oversee management of the leave of absence and accommodations area and the various outsourced vendor relationships.
- Identify areas of opportunities for performance improvement and create internal controls to mitigate risks.
- Pro-actively monitor the changing regulatory landscape and develop strategies and plans to mitigate risk and cultivate a positive, trustworthy reputation for the Red Cross and the HR organization.
- Establish collaborative relationships with the Office of General Counsel, other HR partners, business leaders, and external agencies to meet goals and objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required
- Minimum 7 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.
- 5 years of management experience
- Ability to work on a team; demonstrated collaboration and influencing skills to effectively navigate all levels in the organization
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
