About the role
- Manage strategic financial analysis initiatives as an individual contributor
- Lead cross-functional teams of volunteers and employees to execute finance transformation projects
- Support disaster finance leadership team by providing advanced data analytics to inform critical decisions
- Drive modernization of financial processes and reporting
- Oversee implementation of dashboards and reporting tools to improve financial capabilities
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization and automation
- Serve as the champion of data governance ensuring integrity, consistency, and security of financial data
- Conduct and document highly complex financial analysis projects
- Develop, interpret, and implement advanced financial concepts for financial planning and control
- Provide monthly revenue and/or expense analyses and reports
- Monitor operating budget process and allocations
- Serve as a subject matter expert on analysis to determine present and future performance
- Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and systems
- Serve as project leader responsible for collecting and analyzing data from cross-functional teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field required
- CPA preferred
- Minimum 10 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required
- Knowledge of applicable principles, concepts, practices, and standards
- Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Basic proficiency in use of Personal Computer, word-processing, spreadsheet applications, and database applications when applicable
- Ability to work on a team
- May travel and participate in meetings and conferences throughout the Red Cross system.
