Key responsibilities & impact

Lead APEI’s social media strategy to boost visibility, student engagement, and brand loyalty
Manage the social media team and develop content strategies
Analyze data to guide decisions and engage with the community
Develop and implement comprehensive social media strategy
Oversee the creation of engaging and relevant content
Lead and mentor the social media team, setting clear goals
Utilize analytics tools to track performance metrics
Manage and enhance the online community experience
Monitor and manage the institution's online reputation
Work closely with other departments for cohesive messaging
Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum of 5 years of experience in social media management
At least 2 years in a leadership role, preferably within higher education or a related sector
Proficiency in social media platforms, analytics tools, and content management systems
Exemplary written and verbal communication skills
Strong creative vision and the ability to produce compelling content
Demonstrated experience leading a team
Ability to interpret data, identify trends, and adjust strategies
Flexibility to respond to rapidly changing social media dynamics
Familiarity with online education sector challenges and opportunities
Experience with project management tools and methodologies
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications or related field required
Master Degree in relevant field preferred.
