About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Responsible for the authorization process of orders coming into the Pharmacy
- Submit prior authorizations on behalf of physicians
- Review and initiate prior authorization appeal services
- Monitor daily activities and provide backup support to pharmacy staff
- Responsible for keeping up on all applicable training and education
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma, GED or equivalent
- Minimum of two years’ experience in Retail/Specialty/Hospital Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician preferred
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)
- Pharmacy technician registration with Florida Dept of Health in good standing
- Valid state Driver’s License for travel to satellite offices and offsite meetings
