About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist physicians with medical procedures in office
- Responsible for phlebotomy, laboratory testing, and quality control
- Perform laboratory blood work and blood draws
- Document vital signs and patient information in the Onco/EMR system
- Schedule outside testing and referrals as ordered by physicians
- Maintain test reports, quality control logs, and equipment records
- Comply with all Federal and State laws and regulations
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School or GED
- BLS required
- Valid Driver’s License
- One-year experience as a medical assistant in clinic or physician’s office
- Ability to perform venipuncture
- Proficiency in MS Office Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook required
- Emotionally intelligent and able to manage sensitive and confidential material
