About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Manage and motivate claims staff, ensuring workflow, workload, and service levels are met efficiently
Develop strategies to reduce loss costs and ensure efficient claim processing
Set and measure performance indicators to ensure accountability and team success
Monitor and ensure regulatory compliance and minimize complaints
Oversee, evaluate, and authorize claims, keeping high priority cases closely monitored
Coach adjusters to meet or exceed service objectives and regulatory standards
Negotiate claims, achieve favorable outcomes, and minimize expenses
Foster collaboration within the Claims Department, working closely with staff, supervisors, and managers
Identify opportunities to improve processes and ensure operational excellence

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree or higher
Minimum 3 years of relevant claims management experience
IN and/or PA experience desired, IL, TN, or TX experience a plus
Nonstandard auto insurance experience beneficial
Strong customer service skills and fast-track claim processing expertise
Skilled at negotiating with attorneys and pro se litigants
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Proficient with technology and coverage/liability analysis
High level of responsibility, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Bilingual Spanish preferred
