About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support agency business owners, who operate as independent contractors, in their sales and business operations
- Coach and advise agency business owners on strategy and execution of the district’s profit and growth plan
- Connect corporate strategy with agency practices and results while balancing corporate and agency needs
- Provide guidance to agency business owners and staff through influence and expertise
- Coach and advise on sales results and execution of the state sales plan
- Help agency business owners understand district profitability while preserving their control over their businesses
- Manage company initiatives for the district as they affect individual independent agency business owners
- Help agency business owners target and prioritize sales activities and market opportunities
- Provide business expertise supporting successful operation of agency businesses
- Source and select agency business owners to fill openings
- Build strong relationships with agency business owners and staff
- Report to the Ohio Sales Director
Requirements
What you’ll need- Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support and service
- Basic knowledge of business systems and leveraging them for business efficiencies
- Prior management experience or demonstrated experience leading project teams
- Solid knowledge of project management methodologies, practices, techniques and tools
- Solid knowledge and understanding of financial analysis and reporting
- Experience developing and executing operational business plans and marketing plans
- Solid knowledge and understanding of budget management concepts
- Demonstrated experience working directly with field agents
- Currently licensed to sell, solicit or negotiate Property and Casualty insurance (personal lines authority does not qualify)
- Currently licensed to sell, solicit or negotiate Life insurance
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Willingness to travel up to 50%
- Successful completion of applicable background checks
- Required to sign a non-disclosure agreement for proprietary information, trade secrets and inventions
