About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Sell available insurance products to new or existing clients through various customer contact channels
  • Estimate and quote policy premiums in compliance with underwriting guidelines
  • Recommend policy coverages and options, close sales, and process applications accurately
  • Gather information to assess whether prospective customers meet underwriting guidelines
  • Contact the appropriate division for underwriting guidance when needed

  • Identify client needs and cultivate effective sales relationships

  • Complete extensive training and development programs to gain product knowledge and sales and customer service skills
  • Occasionally travel to an office for team meetings, trainings, and culture events

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must pass bilingual assessments in reading, understanding, writing, and conversing fluently in both Spanish and English
  • Attention to detail to provide accurate quotes to clients
  • Ability to multitask across multiple computer systems and screens during a quote
  • Ability to clearly explain insurance concepts and coverages to clients
  • Must have previous sales experience
  • Required to have state licensing for property and casualty producer licenses
  • Property and casualty producer licenses for all operating and/or service states must be obtained within 90 days of hire
  • Resident Life license must be obtained within 30 days of hire, when applicable
  • Non-resident Life license must be obtained within 90 days of hire, when applicable
  • CLU, ChFC, or CFP designation must be obtained within a specific timeframe as defined by the manager, when applicable
  • Must complete required continuing education credits to maintain state property and casualty producer and/or Life licenses
  • Must maintain property and casualty producer and/or Life licenses for all operating and/or service states
  • Willingness to travel up to 10%
  • Work primarily involves sitting/standing
  • Employment is subject to applicable background checks and signing a non-disclosure agreement
  • Must be located proximate to one of the listed office locations, within approximately 35–50 miles
