About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support technical accounting research and document accounting matters
  • Gather facts, review GAAP and STAT guidance, prepare draft analyses, and summarize conclusions
  • Assist with accounting policy governance, including policy reviews, gap identification, clarification needs, and updates
  • Support audit, financial statement, and disclosure activities by preparing schedules and gathering documentation
  • Coordinate responses and assist with recurring reporting and disclosure responsibilities
  • Perform account analysis, reconciliations, recurring entries, financial reporting support, and other operational accounting activities
  • Collaborate with business partners and team members to obtain information, follow up on open items, and complete assigned work
  • Report to the Senior Manager, Accounting

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Solid knowledge of accounting concepts, financial reporting, financial analysis, internal controls, accounting systems, or related financial processes
  • Ability to gather facts, evaluate information, perform research, document analysis, and identify matters requiring escalation or review
  • Experience communicating financial or accounting information clearly and effectively
  • Experience using spreadsheets to organize, analyze, reconcile, and track financial or accounting information
  • Ability to collaborate with business partners and team members to obtain information and follow up on open items
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain organized documentation
  • Attention to detail
  • Professional judgment and willingness to escalate questions or issues appropriately
  • Travel requirements up to 5%
  • Must not require current or future sponsorship for this position
  • Preferred: Accounting degree
  • Preferred: CPA
  • Preferred: Basic understanding of US GAAP accounting standards
  • Preferred: Statutory accounting experience
  • Preferred: Public accounting experience
  • Successful background checks
