Oversee 24x7 batch job processing, develop schedules, manage job dependencies, and update scheduling calendars
Investigate and resolve job failures (abends), conduct root cause analysis, and address scheduling conflicts
Install, configure, and upgrade scheduling tools (such as AutoSys/CA7/Stonebranch), manage scheduling agents, and perform routine database maintenance
Partner with application teams to design and improve workflows, assist with production migrations, and provide on-call support
Maintain comprehensive job documentation, follow security protocols, and support internal and external audit processes
Analyze high-level system specifications, system requirements, and use cases
Understand and identify system dependencies
Ensure software development meets standards for programming, design, performance, quality, and security
Identify and recommend areas for improvement in planning, design, and testing

Requirements

Extensive experience with CA7 (mainframe) or AutoSys/ Stonebranch (distributed systems) scheduling tools
Strong command of JCL, TSO/ISPF, JES2/JES3, and SDSF for CA7, or Unix/Linux/Windows shell scripting for AutoSys
Excellent problem-solving skills for diagnosing and resolving complex job dependencies and failures
Effective collaborator with the ability to work with multiple teams and disciplines
Demonstrated experience developing complex systems using one or more programming language
Solid knowledge of systems development life cycle (SDLC)
Experience with integration and migration strategies and technologies.
