About the role
- Develop and implement the strategic vision and roadmap for the procurement program, aligning with organizational goals and objectives.
- Lead a team of procurement specialists, analysts, and project managers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to achieve program objectives.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization, including finance, legal, operations, IT and risk stakeholders, to ensure alignment and collaboration on procurement initiatives.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives to streamline procurement workflows, improve operational effectiveness, and enhance the overall performance of the procurement function.
- Develop and maintain procurement performance metrics, dashboards, and scorecards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and measure program effectiveness.
- Identify opportunities for process automation and technology solutions to enhance procurement operations and drive innovation.
- Lead strategic sourcing and supplier management activities, including vendor selection, negotiation, and contract management, to achieve cost savings and ensure supplier performance as it applies.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement program, leveraging tools.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of procurement processes, procedures, governance and best practices, with demonstrated experience in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier management.
- Extensive experience leading cross-functional teams and driving change management initiatives in a complex organizational environment.
- Proficiency in procurement systems and tools, such as ERP software, financial systems, procurement platforms, and contract management systems.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights to support decision-making.
- Proven ability to develop and implement strategic initiatives to optimize procurement operations and achieve organizational objectives.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, including team management, coaching, and development.
- Demonstrated experience deploying procure-to-pay/supply chain processes to contracts and spend categories.
- Demonstrated experience leading large complex projects.
