Key responsibilities & impact

Lead the implementation of the updated software capitalization guidance under ASU 2025-06
Review and assess software development projects to determine capitalization eligibility
Partner closely with Product and Engineering teams to document project approvals
Support the integration of acquired businesses by establishing capitalization policies
Perform annual impairment assessments of technology assets
Prepare, review, and maintain accounting memoranda for significant technology-related contracts
Monitor new accounting standards and regulatory updates from FASB
Manage monthly operational accounting activities
Provide support for internal and external audits
Work closely with the Senior Manager and broader accounting team on special projects

Requirements

What you’ll need

US CPA or equivalent accounting credentials is mandatory
5-7 years of accounting experience, with 2+ years focused on Internal-Use Software (ASC 350-40)
Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills
Create high-quality, well-organized documentation
Ability to research and apply new FASB updates, understanding of SEC regulatory frameworks and SOX compliance requirements
Big 4 accounting firm background
Experience in technology or SaaS companies
Knowledge of cloud computing and hosting arrangements
Familiarity with software development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall)
Proficiency in Oracle Fusion, Blackline, NetSuite, or SAP, plus familiarity with Jira for tracking development sprints
